Introduction
I would like to take this opportunity to explain my background and to discuss the philosophy upon which I have structured my business.

I was fortunate in 1979 to have worked and studied with Mr. James Laughlin. Mr. Laughlin is recognized in my industry, along with Mr. David Wolfe, to be the early pioneers of community association management. Mr. Laughlin began his business in the early nineteen seventies and was co-founder of the national organization known as the Community Associations Institute.

Since my early training with Mr. Laughlin, I have been employed as a live-in on-site manager, senior vice president in a large off-site management company, a general manager for a large scale P.U.D., and the owner of two off-site management companies, all specializing in common interest subdivision management and consulting.

As a result of this training and experience, I have created a business with a philosophy that allows Bicksler and Associates to give detailed attention to a few clients. We do not manage 30 or 40 associations and we do not aspire to do so. Instead we manage 2 to 4 associations (comprising 60% to 70% of our work) and spend the remainder of our time working on a consulting basis to developers, financial institutions, attorneys and homeowner associations.

This philosophy and business plan allows us to think about our clients' problems, to consider options, to plan ahead and to generally be proactive. Our goal is to lead and anticipate, avoiding the common pitfall of "reactionary" management.

This business plan, by its nature, also means that each client is very important to us because each client represents a significant percentage of our business. The advantage to the client is obvious.

I hold the designations of Certified Community Association Manager from the California Association of Community Managers and Certified Manager of Community Associations from the national organizaiton, Community Associations Institute.

Bicksler and Associates is a fully insured company, including fidelity bond and professional errors and omissions coverage.

Cordially,
