site manager for a large apartment property located in Eugene, Oregon. | 1978 | Real
Estate Department Manager for a large brokerage company in Oregon. This department
was responsible for the management of office buildings, apartments and condominium
projects. | 1979 | I
was fortunate to have worked and studied with Mr. James Laughlin. Mr. Laughlin
is recognized in my industry, along with Mr. David Wolfe, to be the early pioneers
of community association management. Mr. Laughlin began his business in the early
nineteen seventies and was co-founder of the national organization known as Community
Associations Institute. When Mr. Laughlin sold his Virginia based company in 1978,
he had offices in twelve states and three countries. | 1981 | Founder,
Condominium Consultants, Inc. with offices in Eugene and Portland, Oregon. Provided
management and consulting services to Associations, lending institutions, and
real estate developers. | 1984 | General
Manager, Rinconada Hills, Los Gatos, California. This Association is comprised
of 394 townhomes, 40 single-family residences, five sub-associations; a tennis
club; a swim club; and a lake all located on one hundred landscaped acres. | 1985 | Vice
President, Community Associations Consulting, a management and consulting firm
headquartered in Dublin, California. Supervised management operations, new client
set-up, and coordinated insurance for over fifty management contracts. | 1987
to Present | Founder,
Bicksler and Associates, a firm that provides management and consulting services
to homeowners associations, and consulting services to developers and lenders;
and expert consultation for the legal community. | Since
1981 I have been employed as a live in on-site manager, senior vice president
in a large off-site management company, a general manager for a large scale P.U.D.,
and the owner of two off-site management companies, all specializing in common
interest subdivision management and consulting. |
